Where to go for holidays 2016?
Puglia is one of the most wonderful regions of Italy and in the summer it achieves its highest beauty. This zone, the best summer holiday destination, is characterized by 800Km of awesome beaches with golden sand or rocks. There is something for all tastes.

The reasons for visiting Puglia for holidays 2016 are many, but I will try to help you see Puglia through the eyes of an Apulian. Puglia is a land of plains, mountains and blue sea.  It has always been characterized by scents, tastes and views which are hard to forget.

Every summer, like the previous one, it is considered the ‘holiday queen’ by tourists from Gargano to Salento. Polignano a Mare, Monopoli, Gallipoli are the cities to visit if you love the sea and strolling through villages rich in history and culture. It is also important to dwell on the artistic beauties present in Puglia.

There are beautiful seaside resorts, but also wonderful towns and cities in the apulian hinterland. Conversano, for example, is a city of art in Puglia that will take you on a journey in art and culture like no other with its great archaeological heritage. In the summer it is pleasant for tourists to walk through the alleys and villages. They can experience the ancient Apulian traditions such as festivals, religious processions and tastings local dishes. Land of sun and hospitality, Puglia is a treasure of places like Daunia, ‘Imperial Puglia’ (Andria, Barletta, Canosa, Trani, etc.) and Valle d’Itria (Locorotondo, Cisternino, Ceglie Messapica, Martina Franca, Alberobello, etc.) very crowded during the summer holidays.

In addition to the sea and lovely beaches in Puglia there is much more: food, drinks and also night life.  There are many discos and clubs to have fun holidays and dance with friends until dawn, especially in the areas of Monopoli and Gallipoli. As I said, Puglia is a land of art and culture and nothing precludes the possibility for tourists to be filmed in some movies set on the city streets. 


Puglia and southern Italy are the most loved areas by movies directors and, suddenly, you can find yourself by chance appearing in a movie. What a wonderful experience! Puglia, simply a world within a world.
